The Hottest "GINA" You'll Ever Meet.

Meet GINA. She is BMW's new concept car. Though she won't go into mass production, she was built to explore the use of new materials and to push the boundaries of the constructive process as they co-mingle with the creative process. Her innovative use of material allows her to be customized in an infinite amount of ways.

GINA stands for Geometry and Functions In "N" Adaptations. This GINA Light Visionary Model features a skeleton that can change shape, covered with a flexible outerskin that is a seamless polyurethane-coated Lycra fabric. This skin is stretched over a moveable aluminum frame. This is what allows the car to change shape and let the driver customize the ride for their needs. As well, it features inside controls and functions that only become visible if the driver chooses to use those controls. Much like the iPhone, this car seems to morph to allow specific functions for specific needs.

Chris Bangle, BMW Design Director describes it as "It's about being flexible. Thinking flexible. Acting flexible. Content over dogma. That's it."

Check out video of GINA at BMW Web TV. Her headlights are amazing.
