Taking it back to the old school...

My friend from back in the day at Art Center posted this photo this week. We were neighbors during college in Pasadena. He's wearing one of the first shirts I ever made for Gig Design. It has a little devil on it.

Gigspot Logo Explained

This is my symbol for Gigspot. Some people call it a logo, but I prefer looking at it as my "chop". It has been my mark for over a decade. I have this symbol tattooed on my left forearm. I am always asked about my mark. So here is the story.

For several years, the deer was my spirit guide. Thus, the deer head. The antlers grow from the head to form the letter "G". The "G" is for "Gigspot" as well as my last name, "Garcia". The structure of the "G" is modeled after a labyrinth. The story here is about finding my way into my head. Or out of it.

Haute in the Desert

I was going thru my sketches and found this collage I did one day in the office. I think it was a French Vogue ad and some U.S. Post Stamp stickers, a little paper and glitter... I've always been fond of this little piece. I think I will develop it into a painting.

Bell South "Halftown"

I just did the end titles for the director's cut of Bruce Dowad's, Bell South "Halftown" commercial. I came up with a typographic solution to mimic the theme of the narrative of the spot.

Motion Graphics by Gigspot. Enjoy!

Lexus "H"

I just finished working on lettering the "H" at the beginning of this Lexus commercial. The spot is for the new Lexus Hybrid and this beautiful piece was directed by Bruce Dowad.
