Gramps Died

My grandpa died. This is the sketch I left in his casket. Together, we used to draw "prehistoric creatures" as he called them.

Junior High-jinks

My friend Xyla (who used to go by Jene with a little line over the last "e" but I don't know how to type that out) from my junior high days found this little doodle I did for her when I was a youngster. I remember I used to charge people in junior high to design and draw out their book covers. Now I share from my early teens this typographic masterpiece with dinosaurs galore. I think I drew this in english class, when I was supposed to be reading.

Social Studio this Wednesday!

While at Pecha-Kucha, I met a great guy from Fivepoints Arthouse in San Francisco. He gave me a flyer for this event I definitely want to attend this Wednesday... A little bit of an artists' jam - come check it out with me!

Every Wednesday Fivepoints Arthouse opens its studio doors and hosts an evening of creativity. Join us in making your art in a social environment. Bring your drawing, writing, painting, sewing, collage and even get connected to our free wireless to do some computer work. Discuss, critique, and collaborate on ideas and artwork all in a unique, comfortable, social space. Some materials are provided. Artists are encouraged to bring their own materials and in-progress work as well as create new works. This event is open to all adult artists who might be excited about sharing their work process with others, as well as those in search of learning new tips and techniques from other professional, established artists.

Drawing of Pink Bunny, "Bunny Boudoir". I was thinking of my friend Mateo as I drew this for some reason. The female bunny counterpart to Bunny Blue. This work on display at Darla's for two months.

Sketchbook RIP

My sketchbook is missing. It is devastating as I know someone out there has it... but it's many months worth of work for me. All of my ideas recorded to develop into paintings, drawings, logos and more.

I spent the last day with it sketching around San Francisco. This was one of the last things I sketched.
