Silverlake Mural on Santa Monica

I just completed a small mural on a wall in the Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles. The mural was done with aerosol and paint markers from Montana.

BUTTONS OF GOLD by Xhico

They're here. BUTTONS OF GOLD. All my friends love them so much, I'm making them for you too!

I take old buttons and recycle them to create new accessories. I was inspired by San Francisco architectural gold leaf. All buttons are first painted with a coat of Montana Gold. Then gold leafed by hand (it's not 24k gold or anything) then resin coated for crazy clear coat... makes the gold ultra sheen. Because of the nature of the process each button is completely different and may have slight imperfections. Sometime the resin gets tiny air bubbles and heavy on the underside. But you'll get play on them any how!
