The Fold Debut at Weltenbuerger
Thank you to everyone who came out to see the premiere of my video art project, "The Fold". I also showed some snippets from "Return of the Dark Owl".
Saturday was just a warm up of what's to come. You can look forward to more projection art from me on the streets of Los Angeles this season. Also look out for my moving fashion piece I will be directing for Weltenbuerger's display windows this coming season.
Special thanks to Daniel "D'Kwan" Kwan, Stuart Winter, Mathias Garcia, David Harlan, Jillian Cainghug and Bryan Weltenbuerger.

Silverlake Mural on Santa Monica
I just completed a small mural on a wall in the Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles. The mural was done with aerosol and paint markers from Montana.
The mural is located on the large graffiti wall at the corner of Santa Monica Blvd. and Hoover.

Shepard Fairey "Printed Matters" opens in LA
Last night I attended the opening of Shepard Fairey's "Printed Matters" in Los Angeles. He was on hand with a handful of other urban artists signing books and selling wares. Check out some of his new work.

Valencia Street Art Today
I was in San Francisco's Mission District for a meeting about a mural and ran across some interesting pieces in the streets along Valencia. I also saw this little piece of paper scrawled and pasted on a wall in memory of director, John Hughes. To see more pieces from today, check out my photostream.

Jet Blue, Orange, Yellow, Green, Purple...
I was walking down the street near my house and stumbled across one of my favorite San Francisco street artists, Jet Martinez, painting one of his wonderful murals. He has been working on a giant mural on the side of Plant It Earth – a wonderful hydroponic shop in the city on Divisadero and Grove in the NOPA district.
Jet is absolutely one of my favorite local artist - he is extremely talented and has a wonderful vision. We have a similar use of silhouette in form and of course common love of subject. His murals of exotic flora forms of trees, flowers and plants can be spotted throughout the city. Colorful, Suessian landscapes vast in imagination and the organized chaos in nature. He delicately recreates systems and patterns in nature through his eyes and what a marvelous recreation it is. You can also check out a brilliant mural by him in Clarion Alley in the Mission.
